Brian Verble - President & CEOBrian Verble
President & CEO

As the third generation of family leadership, Brian's formative years started with the company, working in the field, warehouse operations and technical sales. After attending Duke University, Brian returned to the family business to set up and manage North American's repair and maintenance division, NorthStar Building Services. In the late nineties, he and his father created Installed Products USA, a residential roofing contractor business to service Home Depot customers throughout the country. Instrumental in implementing Installed Products' nationwide growth strategy, and after five years of successfully rolling out 28 offices and servicing nearly 2,000 stores, the company was purchased by The Home Depot and Brian returned to his roots at North American Roofing.

In 2003, Brian became President of North American Roofing and in 2007 CEO. Much like North American's founder and Brian's grandfather Carl, he leads with an open-door policy and has surrounded himself with a top-notch management team with extensive career experience in each of their respective areas. Brian has the company positioned for growth with strategic material supplier partnerships, state-of-the-art technological advancements, systems and processes management, and an overall environment that supports a team-oriented approach. His customer first philosophy and more than 25 years of roofing experience and proven management track record are the combination to ensure continued success for North American Roofing.

 

Tim Sparrow - CFOTim Sparrow
Chief Financial Officer


With 15 years in public and private accounting, information technology, and process improvement, Tim brings a unique background to North American Roofing. After spending 3 years in public accounting with a national firm working as a Senior Auditor, Tim spent the next 11+ years in the investment banking/commercial lending industry working for several Fortune 500 companies. Starting as Assistant Controller, Tim quickly advanced to Controller, then VP of Finance for one of the nation’s largest national commercial lenders before accepting a role for 4 years as Director of Process Improvement with an investment banking company based in New York with more than $4B of serviced assets. During this time, Tim also served as interim Chief Information Officer and Chairman of the firms IT Steering Committee. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting, a MBA from Clemson University, holds the Certified Management Accountant and Certified in Financial Management designations, and is a Certified Six Sigma “Master Black Belt” with extensive experience in Lean and Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.

 

Kelly Wade - Executive VP, Strategic PlanningKelly Wade
Executive VP, Strategic Planning

With more than 15 years in marketing, advertising and public relations on both the advertising and client sides, Kelly strategically guides the marketing efforts for North American. She has a depth of experience in management, technology, strategic planning, creative execution, budget planning/analysis, media execution and new business processes. After graduating from Miami University, Kelly worked the account services side for several agencies including Rapp Collins Worldwide in Chicago, Young & Rubicam Chicago, PDI Communications of Ft. Lauderdale and most recently The Goss Agency in Asheville, North Carolina for accounts including MCI, Blockbuster, iBill and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. From the client side, she managed the marketing and advertising activities for national manufacturer Mannington Mills in New Jersey, leading ecommerce transaction provider iBill in Ft. Lauderdale, homebuilder Arizen Homes in Ft. Lauderdale and The Boxing Club fitness chain in southern California.

 

Dwight Marwede - VP, OperationsDwight Marwede
VP, Director of Operations

Dwight has spent his entire 36 year career in the roofing industry. While attending the Cincinnati Technical College and University of Cincinnati, he worked part time at a fourth generation roofing company. He joined them on a full-time basis in the mid-seventies and became their VP of Operations. While there, he was involved in some of the city’s most prestigious projects: the tile roof renovation of Cincinnati’s historic hall; and, he shared in the design and installation of the stainless steel and nickel roofs installed on Proctor and Gamble’s world headquarters.

Dwight joined North American Roofing in 1988 and has held several positions with the company including VP of Operations and most recently VP of Technical Services and Sales. His expertise and industry knowledge of all low and steep slope roofing systems is invaluable in providing customer solutions across industries. In addition, he holds numerous contractor licenses throughout the country, from Florida to California. He is also a member of RCI, CSI, NRCA and ICSC.

Chris brings over twenty years of roofing experience, most recently with USM Services as the Director of Operations; and, with national service and maintenance company Pegnato & Pegnato, where he was for over 13 years managing training, operations, process implementation and the profitability of the company.

 

Jim Conner
Executive VP, Strategic Accounts

Jim Conner has worked in the construction industry since 1970. He joined North American Roofing in 1984 as a National Account Representative. During his 25 year tenure with North American, Jim has worked with numerous major retailers, developers, and general contractors providing them with roofing services nationwide. He has conducted numerous roofing related training and educational programs for retailers, developers and contractors. Jim is a graduate of Indiana State University and a member of ICSC, PRSM and Roof Consultants Institute.

Alex LissendenAlex Lissenden
Director of Business Development

Alex is an up and coming Director at North American Roofing with a passion for the unification of sales and environmental awareness. He received his B.F.A. from Guilford College, completing his thesis in wood-firing locally harvested clays in the coastal town of Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. His background ranges from the local production and sales of folk ceramics in Western NC, to selling LEED Certified roofing materials Nationwide. As an Account Manager for Campbell’s Ceramics, Alex managed 25+ regional distributors spanning from the Northern borders of Maine to the Panama Canal. Upon moving back to Asheville, NC in 2007, Alex was introduced to the Verble family and began producing new corporate relationships as a National Account Manager for North American Roofing. After earning his stripes in the field, Alex was given the opportunity to design and implement the company’s Business Development Team which included the placement of NAR’s Strategic Account Managers as well as the inception of the company’s Lead Generation Department. Alex is a member of the US Green Builders Council, and stays involved with the company’s field sales through his secondary role as Corporate Sales Trainer.

 

Tony DoverTony Dover
Director of Quality & Safety

Tony graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction. He started with North American in 1990 as an Estimator. After two years, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Operations. A lapse of two more years and he was promoted to his current position overseeing the quality of installations but first and foremost the safety of North American Roofing’s most valuable assets, the employees. He is an OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer and is a Qualifier on several state contractors licenses. He manages several inspectors throughout the United States who help him keep North American one of the safest companies as well as one of the industry leaders in quality installations.

 

Don EgbertDon Egbert
VP, Estimating

Don graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in construction technology at Purdue University in 1982. He started with North American Roofing that year where he was hired as a quality inspector. In 1984, Don was moved to the estimating department and become the estimating manager a couple of years later.

In 1996, Don developed North American’s proprietary estimating program that continues to be updated and improved as North American continues to expand its product line.

 

Carl Cortright - IT DirectorCarl Cortright
Director of IT

Joining North American in 2008 as the Business Operations Analyst, Carl has had the opportunity to work across many of the departments within the company with focus on systems development, process documentation and improvement. A graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and additional studies in Computer Science, Carl brings an analytical approach to the development of the systems that unify the departments at North American.
